As our Senior Diesel Mechanic / Workshop Manager, you will spend most of your days on the tools, servicing and repairing our machinery — which includes excavators, scrapers, rollers, graders, dozers, trucks, and tractors. In our modern purpose-built workshop, you’ll have access to the latest fleet-servicing technology, including a 20-metre truck hoist and brake roller set-up.
You will work closely with our operations team and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the workshop, including leading the workshop team, scheduling services, ordering parts and consumables, and maintaining health and safety.
What You Will Need
- Diesel mechanic qualification
- 5 or more years’ experience with heavy earthmoving machinery
- Experience leading a team
- Effective communication skills
- Efficient time management
- Self-motivation and ability to work safely and unsupervised
- Ability to complete a job to a high standard (no shortcuts)
- Sound understanding of health and safety
- Class 1 and 2 driver licence — 3 to 5 would be an advantage
