Traffic Management Operator / Labourer

Role Description

To safely implement, maintain, monitor and remove temporary traffic management (TTM) on Tarbotton Land & Civil worksites and client projects, while assisting with general civil construction and labouring activities as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Full NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a practising STMS.
• Current STMS qualification (Cat A/B/C as applicable).
• Sound knowledge of NZ Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM) and industry best practice.
• Experience setting up, monitoring and removing temporary traffic management.
• Ability to read and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labouring duties.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Pride in completing work to a high standard

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate traffic management vehicles and equipment.
• Set up, maintain, adjust and remove temporary traffic management in accordance with approved TMPs.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor traffic management throughout works.
• Complete traffic management documentation and records.
• Liaise with site supervisors, STMS personnel, clients and road users.
• Ensure all traffic management equipment is maintained, clean and fit for purpose.
• Assist civil crews with labouring and general site duties when traffic management activities are not required.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, training and safety initiatives.
• Report hazards, incidents and near misses promptly.
